Aníbal Maturano

Anibal is Don Mercedario´s Director and he has a vast experience in the region. He started climbing at the age of 15, in 1988. In 1993, beeing 19 years old he took part of the VI Argentinean expedition to Himalayas to Mt Xixapangma (8046 mtrs). He returned to Himalaya two more times, one of them in 2001 to Mt Broad Peak (8047 mts) when he reached the Rocky Summit (8016 mts). He also has achieved many interesting climbs in Argentina, Mexico, US, Switzerland, France, Spain, Bolivia and Chile. Anibal has a degree in Geophysics. He has been working as a mountain guide for more than 15 years. Nowadays, and at the age of 34, he owns the record of ascents (6) and some new technical routes opened in Mercedario Peak. Anibal is also working on a Mercedario guidebook that will be abaliable soon.

Gabriel Fava

Gabriel is a professional High Altitude Mountain Guide (EPGAMT) and also a professional mountaineer. Even when he is very young (22 years old) he has done very interesting climbs in the Mercedario and the Ansilta areas, including many first ascents. He has also climbed and worked in Aconcagua, in the high volcanos of northern Argentina, Chile, Perú and Bolivia.

Celeste Arias

Celeste is our logistics co-ordinator. She is 23 years old and has been part of our team for 4 years. She has climbed some interesting peaks in Ansilta and Ramada Range as well as in ohther regions of Argentina. She was part of an expedition to Mt Broad Peak (8047) in the year 2005 when she reached 7100 mts at the third Camp.  Celeste has also assisted some climbs and treks.

Juan Pablo Ceballos

Juan Pablo is 26 years old and he is a Geologist. He has been working with us since the begining as a guide assistantant and driver. He started climbing when he was 16 and now he counts with very important climbs around the Mercedario area and also some interesting routes oppened in these mountains. 

Alejandro Villarroel

Alejandro is our main muleteer. We have been working with him for several years and he is very good at his job, with him we can be sure loads will arrive safe to destination. He is also the one who leads horses during the horse ridding tours. He has always lived in Barreal, home village for Ansilta and Ramada ranges. Alejandro is a great person who always gets along with climbers.
