...with 6700 m, is one of the big colossus of the Andeans. The normal route is the Inca´s, which can be considered a ¨very enjoyable altitude walk¨. The peak can also be attempted from the south by following the Japanesse route, as well as from the east through the Caballito Glacier.

 

 

A very challenging 6000 m in the area, with many interesting lines to try, being the most famous the austriac one in the upper part of the Salto Frio Glacier.

Other 6000's  are present: La Ramada 6380 m, Alma Negra 6120 m and La Mesa 6200 m.  The different routes varies from easy lines -mostly walking-, to technical ascents - were crampons, ice axes and rope are normally necessary to progress-

 

Range, surrounded by five 6000 m peaks!, and several 5000´s. This mountains create  a giant cirque at the head of Valle del Colorado. one of the most impressive places in the Central Andeans.
