Our 30 day Aconcagua and Mercedario combined expedition gives you the chance to climb the highest peak of America and its lofty neighbouring peak of Cerro Merceario under the careful supervision of our trained and experienced guides. The routes on both Peaks are similar in that they are both non technical ascents, being that the use of ropes and technical climbing skills are not required, in fact both routes are ideal for those without climbing experience as they are more akin to high altitude trekking than climbing.

Day 1: Arrival to Mendoza city. Hotel night. |

Day 2: Free day at Mendoza |

Day 3: Transfer to Penitentes (2200 m). Hotel night. |

Day 4: Hike up to Confluencia (3600 m). 4 hs |
|
|
|
Day 5: Hike to Aconcagua South Face bottom and back to Confluencia. |
|
|
|
Day 6: Hike up to Base Camp (Plaza de Mulas 4200 m). 7 hs |

|
|
Day 7: Rest day at Plaza de Mulas. |
|
|
|
Day 8: Load carry to Plaza Canada (4700 m). |
|
|
|
Day 9: Load carry to Nido de Condores (5400). |
|
|
|
Day 10: Rest day at Base Camp. |
|
|
|
Day 11: Move to Plaza Canada. Camp 1. |
|
|
|
Day 12: Move to Nido de Condores. Camp 2. |
|
|
|
Day 13: Move to Berlin (5900 m). Camp 3. |

|
|
Day 14: First summit attempt. |
|
|
|
Day 15: Second summit attempt. |

|

Day 16: Third summit attempt. |

Day 17: Back to Base Camp. |

Day 18: Walk down to Horcones and transfer to Penitentes. 7 hs. |

Day 24: Hike up to Pirca de Indios, camp 2 (5200 mts). |

Day 25: Hike up to La Ollada, camp 3 (5950 mts). |
