Mount Aconcagua, at 6961 mts, is the highest peak of America.

Aconcagua Normal Route enters by Horcones Valley and then  follows the north east ridge of the mountain. This is a crowded route since it is chosen by many climbers for beeing the easiest one. The route counts with magnificient views of the Andeans.

Many facilities can be find at Base Camp (Plaza de Mulas) such as internet, telephone, toilets, showers, etc.

 

Itinerary

 
Day 1: Arrival in Mendoza, transfer airport-hotel lodging. 
Day 2: Free day in Mendoza. 
Day 3: Transfer in private vehicles from Mendoza to Penitentes where the group will spend the night. 
Day 4: Penitentes - Horcones Valley (2,950 m), where the trek begins, and after a short day, around 4 hours, we arrive at our camp, Confluencia (3,390m). 
Day 5: Confluencia - South Face bottom - Confluencia. Acclimatization day.
Day 6: Confluencia - Plaza de Mulas (4,350 m). After a 7-hour hike we will arrive at base camp. 
Day 7: Rest in Plaza de Mulas. 
Day 8: Climbing Cerro Bonete (5,004) m
Day 9: Equipment carry to Nido de Cóndores (5,560 m) and we return to Plaza de Mulas. 
Day 10: Rest day in Plaza de Mulas. 
Day 11: Plaza de Mulas - Plaza Canadá
Day 12: Plaza Canadá - Nido de Condores, porters will carry the tents an all the rest of the common gear. 
Day 13: Nido de Cóndores - Berlín (5,930 m).
Day 14: First summit attempt.
Day 15: Seccond summit attempt.
Day 16: Third summit attempt.
Day 17: Berlín - Plaza de Mulas.  
Day18: Plaza de Mulas – Penitentes. Transfer back to Mendoza. Hotel night.
